Okay, I am new at this whole photography thing -- learning my way as I go. These are my first photos taken in less of a "snap-shotty" way and more of a, "get a load of me, I am a photographer now" sort of way. Seriously though, I have NO clue about any of the technical photography stuff - but I am learning.

Hibiscus Blossom. It's first blossom of the season just days before Autumn begins, and it is Orange! I think it wants to be a Pumpkin! |
I love Halloween lights!! |
A trip to the local farmers market (Papa's Farms on Connetquot Avenue). This pumpkin practically begged me to take it's picture. Its kind of blurry, but I don't mind. |
I know that the focus is weird in this one, because I shot the picture through the screen door, but I kind of like the sparkly glowing effect it created. |
This is a gargoyle from the front of Eastern State Penitentiary. |
A little bit of moon magic in this one! |
I did not find a pot of gold, but I still believe in magic.
"Fog Foto" This is just so golly garsh darn spooky and moody. *shivers*
Snow fell on the cranberries.
A genuine snowflake with a crystal formation that looks like a teeny little smart phone.
This is "free' macro photography. I just flipped the lens.

My first Mardi Gras celebration -- right in our dining room.

The most awesome monster I have ever caught on film. A Large Tolype Velleda moth that visited our home. |
Am I crazy, or is there a face in that web looking out. Seriously, squint your eyes a little and look at the bottom of the web. |
Totally Snailed it! I haven't decided yet if this is beautiful, or gives me the heebie jeebies. Probably a little of both. We named him Shelby..... and then we ate him. (Just kiddin' y'all) |
Spider Diamonds
This one makes me feel like I am trying to be a fancy artsy fartsy type, but then again so does eating beans.

Tip-toe through the tulips. I did not grow these flowers. The squirrels and deer thought my tulips were a salad bar. This photo was taken at the Holtsville Ecology Site and Animal Preserve. |
