Finding something to celebrate, appreciate and be thankful for every...single... day !

Photography

Okay, I am new at this whole photography thing -- learning my way as I go. These are my first photos taken in less of a "snap-shotty" way and more of a, "get a load of me, I am a photographer now" sort of way. Seriously though, I have NO clue about any of the technical  photography stuff - but I am learning.

September 2015 "Supermoon" Eclipse: The Blood Moon.

Creepy Fog

Fog

 Daffodil

 Hyacinth

 Forsythia

Grape Hyacinth

Hibiscus Blossom. It's first blossom of the season just days before Autumn begins, and it is Orange! I think it wants to be a Pumpkin!

I love Halloween lights!!

A trip to the local farmers market (Papa's Farms on Connetquot Avenue). This pumpkin practically begged me to take it's picture. Its kind of blurry, but I don't mind.

I know that the focus is weird in this one, because I shot the picture through the screen door, but I kind of like the sparkly glowing effect it created.

This is a gargoyle from the front of Eastern State Penitentiary.

A little bit of moon magic in this one!
I love Autumn so much. I guess I am a genuine Foliage Fancier.

I did not find a pot of gold, but I still  believe in magic.

"Fog Foto" This is just so golly garsh darn spooky and moody. *shivers*

Snow fell on the cranberries.

A genuine snowflake with a crystal formation that looks like a teeny little smart phone.
This is "free' macro photography. I just flipped the lens.

Momentum Kale

Leafy Greens

Web Sight

Water Colors

My first Mardi Gras celebration -- right in our dining room.

Not Africa

Not Mountains
A Moon.
This is the first "real" picture I have ever taken with a "real" camera
Taken on my front steps with a tripod and a timer, because pressing the button made the camera wiggle too much, making a blurry mess. I think my neighbors may have thought I was a peeping photographer while I stood out there silently in the dark with a camera pointed in the general direction of their house. - no wonder I have no friends, I'm creepy!

Eastern State Penitentiary. This Penitentiary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a prison that is purportedly plagued by paranormal phenomenon.(say that out loud with Daffy Duck's accent please)
This was taken with a point and shoot camera, a few years ago

The most awesome monster I have ever caught on film.
A Large Tolype Velleda moth that visited our home.

Am I crazy, or is there a face in that web looking out. Seriously, squint your eyes a little and look at the bottom of the web.

Totally Snailed it!
I haven't decided yet if this is beautiful, or gives me the heebie jeebies.
Probably a little of both. We named him Shelby.....
and then we ate him.
(Just kiddin' y'all)

Spider Diamonds
This one makes me feel  like I am trying to be a fancy artsy fartsy type, but then again so does eating beans.

I did not pose this oak leaf and acorn. I do not know them personally and I did not get either of them to sign a model release form. I just thought it looked fall-y so I took a picture. I hope I have not caught them at a moment of indiscretion. I'll leave you with that thought..
Tip-toe through the tulips. I did not grow these flowers. The squirrels and deer thought my tulips were a salad bar. This photo was taken at the Holtsville Ecology Site and Animal Preserve.
