This is a before picture taken right after prying up the first board. After pictures will be coming soon! (We are still in the middle of this project!)

Laminate Flooring installation on the ground floor foundation. After ripping up the old carpet and finding the icky old tiles crumbling, we had to pry them all up and strip it down to the cement before we could even start the installation of the laminate. I have never been so exhausted in my entire life. I cried 3 times during this installation. I am a big baby.
But I LOVE my new floor soooooooooooooooo much!

At this point I had only cried one time - exhaustion was still in it's early stages.
Oh dear, pardon me...my underlayment is showing - how humiliating.

All done! I love love love love it!....did I mention that I love it?

I swear, I don't live in a haunted house. This was mid-way through removing the once lovely flowered paper and wimpy little quarter round molding. Now we have my dream Base Moldings. Is it strange that I have dream Base Moldings, and have since I was a little girl? Okay, I am strange. Still work to be done here, but we are a lot closer to "after" than when we started.

I am not going to type anything here because the pictures pretty much say it all....ooops, I typed this anyway...

The more I look at my 'creative' efforts from years ago with the floor lamp/chandelier/wisteria vine in the background that is stealing the show, the more I think I might be a lil crazy in the coconut. And don't get me started on the vertical blinds, I may vomit. One...step...at...a...time...
